Eric van Exel works as a psychiatrists at an outpatient clinic for the elderly combining research with patient care.
He focuses his research on
- Contribution of innate immunity and vascular factors on Alzheimer’s disease and depression
- Implentation of evidence based guidelines to improve cure care for elderly subjects with a (sub)clinical depression.
His studies are funded by the National Institute of Health (USA), Internationale Stichting Alzheimer Onderzoek (ISAO) and ZONMW
