Dinnus Frijters is for two days a week researcher at the department of Nursing Home Medicine of the Free University Medical Centre (VUmc) of Amsterdam.
In addition, Dinnus Frijters is co-director of ZorgDNA, a private company based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
As a Fellow of interRAI, Dr. Frijters (along with Dr. Miel Ribbe of the Free University medical centre of Amsterdam) represents interRAI in the Netherlands. interRAI is an international consortium of researchers from 26 countries responsible for on-going research and development of an integrated suite of instruments for long term care, home care, mental health, rehabilitation, palliative care, assisted living, intellectual disability and acute care. Dr. Frijters has translated most the interRAI instruments’ forms and several of the Manuals from English into Dutch and has participated or initiated research with a number of these instruments.
Research Topics
His main activity at the VUmc is the management of the RAI database and its use for research. He has conducted applied research in health care settings for 25 years.
At ZorgDNA his main activity is the development and implementation of analysis tools for the CQI (Customer Quality Index) instruments. Furthermore, he is involved with the introduction in health care settings of RAIview, an Internet based application of integrated RAIs for Long Term Care Facilities, Home Care and Community Health Assessment.
