Nicole den Braver is a PhD candidate at the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the VU Medical Center.

In October 2015 Nicole obtained her Master Nutrition & Health, with a specialization in Epidemiology & Public Health, at the Wageningen University. She wrote her Master thesis at the Julius Centre of the UMC Utrecht, on Vitamin K intake and all cause and cause-specific mortality in the EPIC-NL cohort. During her Master internship at the Wageningen University she investigated the effective intervention mechanisms of SLIMMER, a combined lifestyle intervention study, in preventing type 2 diabetes.  

Since November 2015 Nicole started as a PhD candidate on the ENDEAVOR project (ENvironmental DEterminants of lifestyle behAViORs and risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases).
