Short biography:

Irma Evenhuis studied Physical Therapy at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen. During the BSc research internship she studied the feasibility of measurements for physical fitness in persons with severe intellectual and sensory disabilities. She received her bachelor in 2007. Next to working as physical therapist she started the premaster and master program Health Sciences, specialization Prevention and Public Health and the VU University Amsterdam. She completed her master with an internship at the Utrecht University in the field of Health Psychology. Here she studied the effect of explicit and implicit restrictions on self-regulation regarding eating behavior. She received her master degree in August 2011.

In September 2011 she started working at the Department of Prevention and Public Health and the Health Sciences of the VU University Amsterdam. First as a junior lecturer; coordinating courses, giving lectures and working groups and supervising interns  in the field of Prevention and Public Health. Since December 2015 she is working as a junior researcher on the project ‘Everything is Health’ in the school canteen. Implementation and evaluation of the Guidelines for Healthy Canteens in secondary schools.
