Minke  Eilander

Minke Eilander, PhD

Minke Eilander joined the Diabetes Psychology Research Group in March 2012 and completed her PhD dissertation in 2017 which adresses the psychosocial impact of type 1 diabetes in youth. Her main interests are youth's psychological and social emotional development, and the influence of the broader social environment on children.

In her research DINO (Diabetes IN Development, in Dutch: Diabetes IN Ontwikkeling), Minke studied the psychosocial, cognitive and biological development of adolescents with type 1 diabetes, and the well-being of their primairy caregivers. 
Her previous research focused on the evaluation of DAWN MIND Youth, an intervention aimed to include the Quality of Life of adolescents with type 1 diabetes in the main pediatric diabetes care.
