I-sleep: online CBT for insomnia (WC2014-058)

Insomnia is a major public health issue because of its high prevalence, substantial impact on patients’ daily life, increased risk of comorbidity, and huge (societal) costs associated with it. The usual treatment for insomnia is sleep medication, even though current GP guidelines for insomnia (published July 2014) strongly recommend to refrain from this and advocate delivering non-pharmacological treatment. The present study focusses on an online guided CBT treatment, that proved to be feasible, acceptable and effective.
