Dr. Otto Maarsingh received a € 225.000 ZonMw grant for project ‘Improving the prognosis of dizzy elderly’

Dr. Otto Maarsingh (postdoctoral researcher at EMGO+ and general practitioner within the VUmc department of General Practice & Elderly Care Medicine), received a € 225.000 grant for the project:  ‘Improving the prognosis of dizzy elderly: a three-arm validation and intervention study in general practice’. Aim of this project is to validate a previously developed risk score for chronic dizziness with persistent impairment and to investigate the effectiveness of a risk factor-guided intervention for treating dizzy older patients with a high risk of persistent impairment.
