International Collaboration
Diabetes and overweight, musculoskeletal disorders, mental health problems, and quality of care issues are of international importance, and excellent scientific research requires an international arena. EMGO+ researchers participate in diverse international scientific networks, collaborate intensively with international colleagues, participate in and help lead a range of relevant international societies, and sit on editorial boards of different international scientific journals.
Here we would like to explicitly mention three highlights in international collaboration in 2011.
- Luc Deliens was appointed as co-chair of the research network of the European Association of Palliative Care.
- EMGO+ was partner in 15 European Commission funded projects.
- Raymond Ostelo was appointed as Honorary Professorial Fellow within the Musculoskeletal Division of the George Institute for Global Health.
